Sustainable Design

MA
SCAD
2024-'26

Through my work at SCAD, I apply lenses of systems thinking, biomimicry, service design, and circular economy to address complex global challenges.

SCADbloom: Redesigning the "Ick Factor" of urban composting. A circular service-product ecosystem bridging the gap between individual intent and institutional climate action.
The project - Ripple, tackles the environmental hazard of vape waste. Crucially, our goal is not to promote usage, but to minimize damage where it occurs.
ARMA : Translating the armadillo’s defensive carapace into a high-performance survival tool for urban and natural flood emergencies.
Beyond the Waste: Uncovering Layers of Sustainability is a reflective journal that uses waste as a lens to understand sustainability as a complex, interconnected system.
MACC: Digital & Brand Transformation A strategic redesign of the Chamber’s brand and digital ecosystem to strengthen regional connectivity and social infrastructure.

A climate-responsive residential in Surendranagar prioritizing energy and resource efficiency, with  maximizing natural light and ventilation.
A climate-resilient residential retrofit in Ahmedabad prioritizing resource optimization through adaptive reuse and low-impact material sourcing.
The project was designing interiors for newly built apartment skeleton, including minor civil changes for non structural elements for customized needs.

Climate Responsive Design Strategy : This course bridges the gap between environmental science and architectural form, to achieve thermal and visual comfort.
Course: Sustainable Interior Design This comprehensive course bridged the gap between theoretical sustainability and practical application in interior architecture.
Introduction to Structures : This course provides the foundational knowledge required to design safe and stable buildings.
Led a design-intensive studio focused on harmonizing high-fidelity interior aesthetics with environmental site-specificity and complex building systems.

Locating Special Needs is a project challenges the regulatory limits of standard "Universal Design" by treating disabled inhabitants as expert users of their environment.
Focused on reactivating neglected communal zones in a Slovakian housing complex, this project began with deep mapping of inhabitant circulation and seasonal usage patterns.
Challenging the trend of unsuited glass towers, this executed project prioritizes environmental responsiveness through a breathable red sandstone façade.
Modular Spanning Systems Studio Focused on the intersection of structural logic and architectural expression, this project explores the roof as the primary design driver.
